DC Trip

We got to spend 10 days in Washington DC last month.  Blake had a 3 day convention for school and his ticket was paid for, so we thought it would be fun to have Milo and me tag along and do some site seeing after his convention was over.  My fabulous Aunt Ann hosted us while we were there.  She made sure we were comfortable, had plenty to eat, had lots of fun, and always had a car to drive.  I was super nervous about Milo and this trip.  He was a champ on all of the flights.  He hardly cried, and he slept most of the time on the way there.  He wasn't a fan of the heat and humidity, so site seeing with him was tricky.  Luckily, my aunt offered to watch him during the day for a couple days so we could go do some tourist stuff on our own... bless her. :)  Milo was spoiled and we were able to see cool stuff without stressing about the babe.

Our first day of site seeing we checked out the monuments.  Aunt Ann came along and pushed Milo in a stroller.  Luckily he slept most of the time.  It was so hot that day!

Sweet babe - so sweaty in his car seat. :)

Jefferson Memorial
The 2nd day of site seeing we got to take a tour of the Capitol, the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress.  Cousin Briana came with us.  It was so fun hanging out with her.

They were working on the ceiling in the capitol, so we only got to see this small part.

So sleepy and sweaty, but he managed this sweet smile for the camera.

That's it for now.  I will upload more pics later.

Meet Milo! ...photo dump

Milo was due 5/11.  This picture was taken 5/14.

May 19th at 4:16 am, after almost 26 hours of labor, we FINALLY got to meet our beautiful baby Milo.

He was super alert right after he was born.  Definitely not a typical newborn.

One happy grandma.

6/29 - We all wore the same color to church one day - by accident - but it created a good opportunity to take our first family pic.

My brother Rex, who leaves for his mission to Houston Texas tomorrow. See you in two years Uncle Rex.  (Don't worry Rex. We'll make sure he knows who you are.)

7/1.  6 weeks and already over 14 lbs and 24 inches long!

7/5 blessing day!

This funny hat came w/the outfit.  He only wore it for a picture.

Its been fun having Uncle Dan in town.
